Product Description
The Opteka PD-10 is a great little accessory for SLR cameras with a pop-up flash--it attaches in seconds to soften and diffuse the light from the flash. This diffuser will operate in any camera mode (aperture priority, auto, etc.) and works with most Canon, Nikon, Sony, Olympus, Kodak, Pentax and Fuji cameras with pop-up flashes.

First & foremost I am an amateur photographer. Very very amatuer. The photographer who does our family portraits was chatting to me about my new "hobby" and suggested that I get a diffuser for our Canon Rebel T2i to help with lighting for pictures at night in our poorly lit living room. She said "just get anything under $10 and it should be fine" so I picked up this one. I'm still playing around with settings, but so far the pictures seem okay/fine - less washed out that without the diffuser. The problem is that when attached to the camera, the camera thinks there is an external flash attached sometimes & it gets confused & sometimes the flash won't go off. You have to very light put the tab in not too far for it to not "sense" an external flash. Unless I'm doing something wrong, in which case feel free to comment & correct me!***update*** it is also very annoying because it likes to "jump" off the camera. It just falls out of place all the time on my Rebel T2i. Boo!

this seems like a nice idea and im sure if it had fit on my camera, the sony A65, it would have been great. the part that is supposed to slide into the flash was too big. i did hold it up and take a picture though and it did help with the hot spots from the flash. didn't do much for the shadows.
