Just like the one that came with the camera

I purchased several of these canon body cap replacements to make pinhole lenses for my slr. They are just like the aftermarket one I bought at my local camera shop for $10, except that I bought 5 for about the same price, including shipping. The fit is secure and there are no light leaks. I usually am a little worried about purchasing from 3rd party vendors that offer super cheap substitutes. Lately I have been getting a little braver and was not disappointed. As of December 2010 these ship straight from fotodiox and so this is also an appropriate place to review the seller. The shipping was fast and the packaging was adequate; they definitely did not "over package" like b&h but I didn't feel like there was much danger of damage to my package of adapters and reflectors.If I was buying just one I would not necessarily pick this vendor but considering they combine shipping costs, unlike some vendors, if you need more than one this is the best deal I have found. As far as I can tell they have the same quality as canon's body cap.

NOTE: All of my body caps have "Canon" molded into the plastic. Which as a Canon user is just fine by me, but it does make it a very teensy bit harder for me to make my pinhole hole (duh, I'll just make it from the other side of the lens cap). It's not losing a star for that, since it's advertised as a Canon one, but it's worth knowing that it isn't blank as in the product shot.It's solid, it has the dot for me to line up to put it on. It fits perfectly. I'm SO looking forward to destroying the three I bought by drilling holes in them. :D

Perfect knockoff.Provided there are no invisible detrimental qualities--harmful carcinogenic materials, Tibetan monk slave labor, six-month radioactive decay, etc.--there is absolutely nothing to complain about with this product.The only thing distinguishing the Fotodiox Body Cap from the original Canon element is the texture given to the surface of the cap's plastic. However this is strictly cosmetic and there is no functional difference between the two.I am using mine to make a few pinhole lenses for my T2i body.
