It may still be too soon to tell, but I had charged up both generic 1600mAh batteries in anticipation of a local Renaissance Festival. I put the generic battery in my camera and used it for an unnumbered amount of photos. However, while at the Renaissance Festival, I had taken a total of 864 photos outside in the sunlight, some with flash, but most with the sports action shots at 3 frames per second. It was after going to the Renaissance Faire and taking some photos of a horse barrel race during sports mode that I noticed the camera not going as fast and hanging up some. It was then that I noticed the battery was on its last bar. It was not completely drained, so as a benchmark, with most outdoor photos with some flash and quite a few sports action shots, the 1600 mAh generic battery on one charge can handle around 870-890 shots. Of course, situations will vary with how much flash is used and other settings on the camera.

I purchased these because of the price, you can't beat it for two batteries and especially when compared to the Canon originals. They do provided a good power source but be aware that while these are very similar to the original Canon batteries and to other 3rd party batteries I have, they do not properly eject from my T1i camera body and must be slid out with the assistance of a pair of needle nose plyers. I have relegated these for use in my external battery grip only and not insertion into the camera itself.

Label was printed on these batteries and they fit my camera perfectly. I haven't taken many shots with them, so I'll have to see how they hold up and keep a charge. Otherwise, very happy to have 2 replacement batteries for less than $10--much cheaper than if i'd bought Canon replacements. quick delivery from seller.
