I bought this product to minimize camera shake with my Canon T2i (550D) when taking long exposure shots at night.This product does the job perfectly. First of all the cable is long enough so you can work comfortably, and secondly its pretty simple to use even in bulb mode.Its also great when shooting video on a fully extended tripod so you don't have to fiddle around to find the shutter release button to take the camera out of sleep mode.

Pros: Works! half-press, full-release, bulbCons: Corded - wasn't a dealbreaker unless you're looking to trigger the shutter from across the room.Works perfectly for my Rebel XSi. Superb cheaper alternative to the name brand remote.

Get what you pay for

This is simply a good buy for shutter release without contact of the camera. Plus is it does work, but on the down side it will often go straight to the release and bypass the focus. I suggest you try to manual focus or use the on camera button to press half way for the auto focus , then hook the release to the camera. Trying to do the half push to allow the camera to auto focus prior to shutter release is a hit or miss game. All that being said, if you are operating in manual mode or something other than fully auto it works pretty well.
