I bought this so that I could film at night outdoors and maybe some indoor events with my Canon 7D. It mounts to the camera without any issues although I didnt receive the "video bracket for tripod" mount.The light itself works pretty much like a flashlight with the exception being you can adjust the intensity of the light with the dimmer. I like the fact that its rechargeable and its pretty big but light.The adjustable dimmer is serviceable but leaves a little more to be desired in terms of accuracy with the 'dimmer wheel' that you use to adjust. It only uses about half a revolution which was tricky at first but it gets the job done.As far as how it looks on my 7D, I use a Tokina 12-24 wide angle lens and its dark around the edges of the video that I've taken with it. Most of the picture is bright and gets darker the closer you get to the edges of the frame.All in all its a good piece of equipment and I'd recommend either this one or the 160 LED if you want to brighten your whole frame.
