Recently my wife and I bought some extra camera gear for weddings; the 5D and the 50D. I hadn't realized that they both used the same batteries, and was happy to see this two-pack here on Amazon for such a reasonable price. I have found that 3rd-party accessories can either be catastrophic (damaged gear), unsatisfactory (under-perform) or really rather decent. These batteries are definitely the latter.PROS- Economical price- Fit perfectly in both cameras- Last almost as long as the Canon OEM Batteries per chargeCONS- Have a shorter overall life than Canon batteriesI decided to still give these batteries a 4-star rating despite their shorter overall life, because for the price of one Canon battery you can buy SIX of these 3rd-party batteries, which more than make up for it. I have had NO problems whatsoever with them - they always charge properly, hold their charge well while shooting, and my wife and I can both shoot an entire 12-hour day and then some on two of these in a battery grip.OVERALLDefinitely recommended - while I was a little leery of buying off-brand batteries for our new gear, they have performed very well and I really can't complain! A cheap way to ensure you are never without power!

I placed this order for the two pack of batteries since you can never have too many. Opened one of them right away and charged it. It worked great. Charged the second one for 48 hrs. after opening it and got three pictures out of it before it was dead. It won't hold a charge long enough to use. It now is a paper weight. I will spend my money on better quality batteries from now on.

Great batteries, I really didn't expect much from them because of the low price, however to my surprise these bab boys are great. I get more time from these batteries than I did with Canon's original battery. It's nice to know that somethings have a greater value even if you pay less for them. There was know need to get technical when it's such a simple product.
