So prior to purchasing the Pixel Pro Oppilas wireless trigger, I had purchased one from a company called Hongdak who also produces one through a variant name called "Shoot". Being that was the first time I tried a wireless trigger, I thought it was amazing! I have tried other wireless infrared triggers (namely ones from Canon) and they all had to be in the line-of-sight for them to work properly. These ones on the other hand work perfectly in any direction, whether you're behind the camera or 10 feet away. Now the reason I ended up purchasing the one from Pixel is because the other trigger I purchased lasted me a week. Don't waste your money buying the one from Shoot/Hongdak/possibly other names. The Pixel Oppilas has a much higher build quality. Now the only problem I seemed to have after using it on site was that there is no OFF switch on either the receiver/transmitter. The transmitter has an off button, but I did happen to accidentally turn it on a few times without intent, but the receiver has no switch at all. So a few extra shots were taken just because I had the remote in my pocket. Aside from that, everything seems to work perfectly and I love that it uses AAA batteries so they're easy to replace. I would definitely purchase more in the future if this one gives out. Cheers.

This was the perfect solution to taking our own family portrait. It doesn't need a perfect line of sight at all: my six year old operated it while it was hidden in his lap!I will agree that the buttons are easily pushed while being stored: I just take them out and keep everything in the package it came in :)This remote saved this professional photographer having to find another person to do our family pictures for Christmas: definitely worth the approx. $20!!!

It works awesome. We used it to take our family pictures, with my Canon 7D, this fall and it worked great.
