Good without the adhesive air bubble mess, bad if you shoot using Live View

I have dealt with the adhesive LCD protectors and you'd always worry about getting the right fitment and smoothing out all those air bubbles.This one does get away without dealing with either. Like the previous poster it just snaps/slides on and slip on back the eyecup.For what it serves to do, I think it's fine, the piece kind of goes over the edge of the original 5d3 LCD so it partially covers the Canon wording on the bottom and the Blue icons on the top left portion of the LCD (which isn't a real big deal for me). The protector/plate does shuffle/move a bit if you push it on the edge, however most of the time it stays in place. What I had to knock off a couple stars about this product is that the product covers part of the edges of the LCD screen, so if you do Live View focus especially with a wide angle lens to compose the image, it will cover part of the edges making it difficult to view the complete scene.I also don't like how they have a flat plastic protective piece over the eyepiece instead of the protruding bubble like one of the original. I did get some reflective glares in the background pushing my glasses up to the eyepiece.I didn't verify for certain, I am not sure if this is like Canon EP-EX15 II Eyepiece Extender for Select Canon DSLRs which gives it a slight magnification loss when viewing through the viewfinder?My overall impression is yes if you want a LCD protector without the adhesiveness this is probably the best product out there. I like how it slides up from the top instead of alternatives that mount from the screw on the bottom (which is troublesome if you have L plate) or the air bubbles from the stick-on ones. However, if you do a lot of Live View shooting and wide angle usage, I would probably stay away from this product.

MUST HAVE 5D MKIII ACCESSORY

I originally purchased the Giottos glass screen protector because it had good reviews and I thought glass would produce less glare. But when it arrived the item was clearly not designed for the MK III - they just slapped a sticker onto it saying it was. The Giottos glass was way too small and covered a lot of the LCD. I returned it without hesitation.This GGS LCD Screen Protector had no reviews, but looked similar to the ones from Nikon where there's a plastic removable snap on cover. Installation took 2 seconds. I pulled off the eye cup, slid on the GGS Screen Protector, then slid the eye cup onto the protector. It fits perfect to the MK III body, looks like a genuine Canon product. As for glare and scratch resistance - I can't make a comment until I've used it. But as of now everything looks like normal. I'll do a followup review later.NOTE: The GGS LCD Screen Protector uses plastic screens to cover BOTH the eye piece glass and the LCD glass.
