Loose fitting Adapter

I purchased this adapter for a Kiron 28 - 85mm lens. After initial test fit I notice it was loose and adjusted the locking spring tab to it's maximum allowance (loosen two screws). It's still in loose tolerances, I'm either going to have to return it or attempt to lengthen the adjustment travel holes.It's frustrating to say the least.
