Perfect for shooting live view pictures and video on my Canon T3i. The image is clear, and I love that I don't have to place any adhesive or permanently mount anything to my camera. The metal bracket conveniently attaches to the tripod mount for the magnets in the viewfinder to hold on to. I also disovered something very useful for using this mount with a battery pack grip with a Canon T3i. I removed the c-clip holding the screw to the bracket, and then I removed the rubber pad on the bracket so I was just left with the thin metal brakcet only. It fits perfectly between the camera and the battery pack grip. I also like the fact that the metal mounting bracket kind of protects the LCD screen. This is another example of an aftermarket product that performs well for a much lower price than the name brand item. By the way, I am using a Neewer battery pack grip which costs about 1/5th the price of the name brand one. I've been using it for about 6 months now without any problems.

I got rid of the flimsy metal mount and ordered one of these: http://www.amazon.com/Swiview-Swi-View-Finder-Swivel-Screen/dp/B005OU4Q9W/ref=sr_1_2?ie=UTF8&qid=1334168920&sr=8-2The alignment nubs on the four corners of the eyepiece were sanded off so they don't scratch my LCD when attached with the neoprene holder. I may spread a layer of black silicon on the rim of the eyepiece, where it meets the LCD to protect the LCD and also keep the viewfinder more securely in place.I do not need reading glasses so the lack of a diopter is fine for me. If you are in need of a diopter, you will unfortunately have to fork over some serious cash for a Zacuto, Letus, Redrock, etc.Pros:Great constructionSharp glass, no fuzziness, very slight pincushion distortion - BARELY noticeable and not a problem for most people.Works perfectly with the neoprene piece.Helps focus and stabilize.PriceCons:Metal mount is cheap. No diopter.

The customer service from this seller was exceptional! There was a problem with the original shipment and they responded very quickly to rectify the situation and even went beyond what was required to fix the original problem. The viewfinder is excellent. I have used it on every shoot since I received it. I do a lot of shooting from a slider outdoors and without the viewfinder attachment, focus is nearly impossible.I used the viewfinder on a 3-day canoe trip recently where I dropped it in the river. I found it about an hour later and it survived. I have since added a leash that keeps it around my neck when it is not on the camera.I highly recommend this product to anyone with a DSLR as it is invaluable for getting sharp focus.
